Cheers to a New Year!

Happy New Year to My Dear Friends!

I am not making any resolutions this year.
I'm sticking with my same health and fitness goals:

*keep sugar intake to 15 gms a day
*keep carbohydrates low and not more that 6 servings a day (one serving = 5-20 gms)
*strive to exercise in some form for 30 minutes day
*drink 8 - 10 glasses of water each day
*sleep at least 7 hours each night

However, I am giving some things up .
I saw this on facebook and it makes good sense.

If you want to be happy.....here are 15 things you should give up.

Give you your need to always be right.
Give up your need for control.
Give up on blame.
Give up your self-defeating self-talk.
Give up on limiting beliefs.
Give up complaining.
Give up the luxury of criticism.
Give up your need to impress others.
Give up your resistance to change.
Give up labels.
Give up on your fears.
Give up your excuses.
Give up the past.
Give up attachment.
Give up living your life to other people's expectations

I hope you all had a wondeful holiday season. I'm leaving you with the following thought and a copy of our annual family Christmas card! Sending you all hugs and love!

Thought for the day:   We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day. ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce

I am quite excited for next week and the back to normal grind of life! I have been a very bad girl, and quite honestly surprised I haven't gained 5 lbs. Well, 5 more lbs!!!
